KUALA LUMPUR: Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi hopes the special incentives for the Forest City Special Financial Zone (SFZ) will be finalised by August.
Onn Hafiz said the matter was discussed during his recent meeting with Finance Minister II, Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan.
"God willing, the special incentives for the Special Financial Zone (SFZ) in Forest City will be finalised by August this year.
"This effort aims to attract financial institutions and banks to the SFZ. I extend my gratitude to Prime Minister Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who has significantly supported Johor's application regarding the SFZ.
"Overall, I am very satisfied with the progress and developments from all parties involved," he said in a Facebook post today.
He added that this commitment and cooperation demonstrate that the government are truly serious about achieving progress for the country and, specifically, for the state of Johor.
