Police reshuffle sees transfers and promotions for 28 senior officers

KUALA LUMPUR: Police today (June 11) announced the transfers and promotions of 28 senior officers.

Among them are Perak police chief Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri and Dang Wangi police chief Assistant Commissioner of Police Noor Dellhan Yahaya.

Effective July 8, Yusri will take over as Bukit Aman Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Department director, replacing Datuk Mohd Azman Ahmad Sapri.

His current post will be filled by his deputy, Datuk Azizi Mat Aris, who will also be promoted to the rank of commissioner.

Noor Dellhan will be promoted to the rank of senior assistant commissioner and will assume the position of D4 deputy director (Intelligence/Operations/Records) for the federal Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

The transfers and promotions were announced by Malaysian police secretary Deputy Commissioner Alzafny Ahmad.

Alzafny said Kajang police chief Mohd Zaid Hassan will be promoted to head the Selangor police's management department.

"Dang Wangi deputy police chief Naazron Abdul Yusof will replace him as Kajang police chief.

"Kuala Selangor police chief Ramli Kasa will be promoted as Selangor police's crime prevention and community safety department deputy chief," he said.

Kuala Muda deputy police chief Anuar Abdul Rahman @ Abd Rahim will be the new Seberang Prai Utara police chief and will be promoted to the rank of assistant commissioner.
