ALOR STAR: Twenty-one business operators here received a notice asking them to explain the price of their goods and services following the implementation of diesel subsidy reforms.
State Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry director Muhammad Nizam Jamaludin said the ministry had also opened an investigation into two complaints regarding service price hikes.
"Until Friday, the state ministry had inspected 23 business premises, and we issued 21 notices to get more information about their goods and services.
"Two complaints about service price hikes are being investigated."
He said the ministry would take action against profiteering following the implementation of diesel subsidy reforms.
