KUALA LUMPUR: Fans of DJ Alan Walker were left disappointed after he cancelled his Kuala Lumpur show just a day before it was scheduled to take place.
The announcement was made via his Instagram page. He cited "unforeseen circumstances" as the reason for the cancellation, leaving many fans scrambling for refunds.
"The last few weeks, the team and I have been working hard with putting together our biggest Walkerworld show to date in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for this coming Saturday.
"My visit to KL a few weeks back to promote the show, when I also had the chance to meet many of you, made us even more excited about this upcoming show.
"However, I am very sad to inform you that due to unforeseen, unexpected and very unfortunate circumstances that are completely and entirely out of mine and my teams hands, we will have to postpone our Walkerworld show in Malaysia Saturday June 22 until a date later this year," he said in the post.
He apologised for the last minute announcement, but promised to honour his and his team's commitment to all fans who had purchased tickets to his show.
"We will come back in the fall and bring you an even greater show experience!"
Walker said fans who were unwilling or unable to wait could seek a refund from the local promoter before 5pm on July 20.
In the comment section of the post, fans expressed their disappointment. Some said they travelled to Kuala Lumpur just for his show.
Instagram user @krys_loves_to_eat said: "Really? We travelled from Australia for three days just to see you, even booked my holiday leave. I am quite disappointed. Truly."
User @zeeshan712001 said he travelled from Pakistan for the show and was sad to learn about the cancellation.
"I have no words to explain how I'm feeling right now."
The Norwegian DJ and producer known for hits like 'Faded' and 'Alone' was originally scheduled to perform at Surf Beach, Sunway Lagoon, tomorrow night.
