KUALA LUMPUR: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, the King of Malaysia, today received an audience from the King of Bhutan, His Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck.
In a post on Sultan Ibrahim's official Facebook, the royal visit by the Bhutan king lasted two hours at Istana Bukit Serene, Johor Baru.
Present were Johor Regent, His Royal Highness Tunku Mahkota Ismail and Tunku Panglima Johor, His Highness Tunku Abdul Rahman Al-Haj Ibni Sultan Ibrahim.
The royal guest was also honoured at a luncheon with Sultan Ibrahim and the Johor Regent.
"I also took the King of Bhutan around Johor Baru, and His Majesty expressed a desire to return with his family for a holiday in Johor.
"His Majesty also extended an invitation for me to visit Bhutan to strengthen bilateral relations between Bhutan and Malaysia," said Sultan Ibrahim.
