KUALA LUMPUR: Talent Corporation Malaysia Bhd (TalentCorp) has introduced five new categories for the Life At Work Awards 2024 (LAWA 2024) to celebrate employers with leading workplace policies in line with their commitment to the Diversity, Equity, And Inclusivity (DEI) agenda.
At the launch last Thursday, TalentCorp Group chief executive officer Thomas Mathew introduced the five new categories, to recognise exceptional contributions in key areas such as sustainable environmental practices, green technology innovation, and technology for inclusion.
"With the tagline of 'Celebrating Excellence in DEI for Sustainable Work, Workplace, and Workforce', LAWA 2024 is not just about recognising businesses but about celebrating the integral role that employees play in driving organisational success.
"By emphasising sustainable talent development, we aim to create a more resilient and inclusive workforce that can adapt to the fast-changing global work landscape," he said.
The awards were launched by TalentCorp in 2013 as part of its ongoing initiatives to help employers prepare for the future of work.
It originally featured three categories celebrating women-friendly employers, and has since expanded to 14 categories, recognising Malaysian organisations, international organisations, small-medium enterprises (SMEs) and sole partnerships, and public sector organisations.
The winners for LAWA 2023 include Maybank, Yayasan Pahang, Pos Malaysia, VISTA Laser Eye Center Sdn. Bhd., CIBA VISION Johor Sdn. Bhd., HSBC Bank Malaysia, Dexcom Malaysia, Shell Malaysia, and more.
LAWA 2024 will recognise employers in the following 14 categories with 30 awards to be given for Best Organisation; CEO Champion; CHRO Champion; Promising Young HR; Initiatives for Women in the Workforce; Initiatives for Diversity Hiring; Initiatives for Young Graduates; Initiatives on Talent Sustainability; Initiatives on Workplace Excellence; Initiatives on Corporate Social Responsibility (new); Initiatives on Technology for Inclusion (new); Initiatives on Environmental Practices (new) ; Initiatives on Green Technology Innovation (new) and Initiatives on Employee Care and Well-being (new).
Submission is open to all employers until Sept 6.The judging period will take place in October and winners will be announced in November.
