Roslan Ismail appointed PWD D-G

KUALA LUMPUR: The Public Works Department (PWD) has announced the appointment of Datuk Roslan Ismail as the new Public Works director-general, effective today (June 25).

Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi said Roslan had extensive experience of 29 years, particularly in involvement in the planning and implementation of high-impact public projects and the development of the construction industry.

"He has held various positions at different levels, whether at the district, state or headquarters level for 29 years.

"Among them are the PWD Penang state director, Construction of the Special Project Team director, and most recently, PWD Integrated Asset Planning Branch senior director," he said in a statement.

Nanta said he was confident that Roslan could shoulder the responsibility to continue improving PWD's excellence, considering his nearly 30 years of experience.

"Roslan will be able to shoulder the entrusted responsibility to continue enhancing the excellence of the PWD in ensuring public projects are completed with high quality, meeting specifications in terms of quality, time, and cost," he said.
