Asliza Ali appointed CEO of Enforcement Agency Integrity Commission

KUALA LUMPUR: Asliza Ali has been appointed secretary and chief executive officer of the Enforcement Agency Integrity Commission (EAIC), effective today.

Asliza takes over from Norhayati Ahmad, who returned to the Attorney-General's Chambers on Aug 18, 2023.

EAIC said Asliza brings extensive legal expertise to her new role, having served in various capacities at the Attorney-General's Chambers.

"She was head of the Classified Cases Unit in the Legal Division, a position she held from 2020 to 2024.

"Her prior experience includes roles in the Contract and Medical Negligence Unit from 2017 to 2020," said EAIC.

Asliza was state legal director at the Johor State Legal Advisor's Office, legal advisor at the Defence Ministry and Youth and Sports Ministry and senior federal counsel at the Home Ministry.

EAIC said she also served as deputy public prosecutor in the Customs Department and Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission.

"We believe Asliza's appointment will bolster the commission's efforts to enhance the integrity and governance of enforcement agencies under the Enforcement Agency Integrity Commission Act 2009 [Act 700]."
