KUALA LUMPUR: Kuala Lumpur City Hall has sealed off two construction sites near Jalan Ulu Ampang for various offences, including health violations.
A statement issued by City Hall on Facebook said one of the four compound notices issued to these construction sites at Lot PT 2670 and Lot PT 256, Jalan Ulu Ampang is under the Destruction of Disease-Bearing Insects Act 1975.
Another notice was issued under the Streets, Drains and Building Act 1974.
The construction sites were promptly closed down by the City hall until the responsible contractor met the requirements and the compounds were settled.
A raid was carried out by City Hall through the Enforcement Department together with the Building Control Department, Infrastructure Planning Department, Health and Environment Department, as well as the Titiwangsa Branch Office.
"Kuala Lumpur City Hall will continue with actions and monitoring from time to time at the identified focus location," it said through a Facebook post.
