Tunku Azizah leads Pahang Sultan's honours list

KUANTAN: Tengku Ampuan Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah leads a list of 24 recipients of state honours in conjunction with the 65th birthday celebration of the Sultan of Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.

The investiture ceremony was held at the Balai Mahkota, Istana Abdulaziz here today.

Al-Sultan Abdullah conferred the Sri Setia Al-Sultan Abdullah Ahmad Shah (SAAS) award to Tunku Azizah and eight other recipients.

Also receiving the SAAS honour was Tengku Mahkota Pahang, Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah Al-Sultan Abdullah.

The other recipients of the SAAS honour, which carries the title Datuk Seri Setia, were Tengku Arif Bendahara, Tengku Muhammad Iskandar Ri'ayatuddin Shah; Tengku Puteri Raja, Tengku Puteri Iman Afzan; Tengku Arif Temenggung, Tengku Fahad Mua'adzam Shah Sultan Ahmad Shah.

Also receiving the SAAS honour were Tengku Puteri Seri Teja, Datuk Seri Tengku Muhaini Al-Marhum Sultan Ahmad Shah; Tengku Puteri Seri Kemala, Tengku Datuk Seri Aishah; Tengku Puteri Seri Lela Manja, Tengku Datuk Seri Nong Fatimah and Tengku Puteri Seri Bongsu, Tengku Datuk Sri Shahariah.

Al-Sultan Abdullah also conferred the Darjah Kerabat Sri Indera Mahkota Pahang award to Prince Ali Al Hussein of Jordan.

Al-Sultan Abdullah also awarded the Sri Diraja Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (SDSA), which carries the title Datuk Seri Diraja, to Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail.

Al-Sultan Abdullah awarded the Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (SSAP), which carries the title Datuk Seri, to the state legal adviser Datuk Saiful Edris Zainuddin; Prime Minister's Department Public-Private Partnership Unit director-general Datuk Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar and the Royal Malaysian Air Force deputy chief Lt Gen Datuk Muhamad Norazlan Aris.

Other recipients of the same honour were Felcra Bhd chairman Datuk Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub; National Heart Institute (IJN) cardiothoracic and vascular surgery department head Prof Datuk Dr Alwi Mohamed Yunus; IJN cardiothoracic and vascular surgery senior consultant Prof Datuk Dr Mohamed Ezani Md Taib and Ancom Nylex Bhd consultant Datuk Ahmad Johari Abdul Razak.

Two recipients of the Sri Indera Mahkota Pahang (SIMP), which carries the title Datuk Indera, were the High Commissioner of Malaysia to Singapore Datuk Dr Azfar Mohamad Mustafar and the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity secretary-general, Emiriah Arab Bersatu (UAE) Datuk Dr Khalid Ghanim AlGaith.

The recipients of the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP), which carries the title Datuk, were state works, transport and health committee chairman Razali Kassim; Malaysian Ambassador to Italy Zahid Rastam and Asian Perlite Industries Sdn Bhd director Lukman Runia Albert.

The recipient of the Setia Al-Sultan Abdullah Pahang (SAS) award was Brig General (Rtd) Farid Mohd Ali Hajamat Qat.
