KUALA LUMPUR: Eight stalls were completely destroyed following a fire at the Bazaria Wangsa Maju at Danau Kota Uptown here.
The Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department operations control centre received a distress call at around 7.02am on Wednesday.
According to operations commander M. Letchumanan, 14 personnel, two fire engines, an emergency medical rescue services vehicle and a water tanker responded to the incident.
"The assets and personnel involved were from the Wangsa Maju and Setapak Fire Stations.
"When we arrived, a total of eight stalls were completely engulfed by flames," he said in a statement on Wednesday.
He said they immediately went to work to control the fire before putting it out completely.
"The stalls were completely destroyed in the incident."
The cause of the fire is being investigated by our Forensic Units at the scene," he said adding that no one was injured.
