KOTA KINABALU: Content creators should also highlight the achievements of the Sabah government, said Sabah Maju Jaya secretariat chief Datuk Datu Rosmadi Datu Sulai.
He said the tagline Sabah Maju Jaya was only usually used when there were issues about electricity, water and roads with potholes.
Rosmadi acknowledged that people were entitled to post what they wanted, whether to criticise or praise.
"But, are you following the achievements of the government? Do you know that despite global investments being affected, ours are still on the top? Do you know the reserves the Sabah government has?
"These are the voices of the people (however) and we want to figure out how to counter them in a positive way," he said, adding that the secretariat is willing to work with influencers on how to balance the dissemination of information about Sabah.
Rosmadi was speaking during the closing of a TikTok storytelling course for Sabah media members here.
The training was organised by the Malaysian Press Institute (MPI) in collaboration with the Sabah Information Department, Sabah Maju Jaya and Sabah Journalists Association.
Trainer Ainol Amriz Ismail, an assistant editor cum programme producer for UtusanTV, shared with 29 media members the steps required for producing storyboards using artificial intelligence, capturing content, using video editing tools and other skills during the two-day programme that started yesterday.
