Pay hike.

Civil servants will receive pay hikes of 15 to 42.7 percent next week, based on their ranks or positions. Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil says more details on the salary adjustments will come later.

Better wages.

Employers in the voluntary progressive wage policy project are required to pay entry-level employees a minimum of RM1,810 monthly. The pilot project covers five economic sectors.

New Chief Secretary.

Datuk Seri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary to the government. He replaces Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali.
