Police seek public's help to locate missing 23-year-old woman

IPOH: Police are seeking public assistance to locate 23-year-old Durratun Hamizah Abdul Azehar, who has been missing since leaving her home in Bandar Seri Botani on Tuesday.

Ipoh District Police chief, Assistant Commissioner Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad, said the unemployed woman left her home without informing her family of her destination.

He said that Durratun Hamizah left her home on Aug 6, and her mother filed a report at the Simpang Pulai Police Station the following day.

"She is a Malay woman with a slim build and tanned skin. She is unemployed and stays at home," Abang Zainal Abidin said.

"The missing person left home without informing anyone, including her mother, and she took a handbag with her."

He added that it is believed she left after an argument with her father, who had scolded her in a raised voice.

"After the argument, she became upset and left the house," he said.

Abang Zainal Abidin requested that any information be directed to Simpang Pulai Police Station chief, Sergeant Ahmad Zubir Alias, at 016-4275733, or the Simpang Pulai Police Station at 05-3571222, or any nearby police station.
