KUALA LUMPUR: Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak was among the many who wished Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim who celebrated his 77th birthday yesterday.
In a Facebook post, Najib posted an old photo of him and Anwar, along with a birthday greeting.
"May Allah continue to bless and protect you," said Najib who is serving a jail sentence for his conviction in the SRC International case.
Others who wished Anwar included his Singaporean counterpart Lawrence Wong and Philippines President Ferdinand Marcors Jr, who sent Anwar a video greeting.
Timor-Leste President Jose Ramos-Horta also gave Anwar his best wishes through a video greeting and said he would pray for Anwar's good health.
Anwar's deputies, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof alongside Cabinet ministers also wished Anwar in a video greeting.
Anwar, the country's 10th prime minister, was born on August 10, 1947, in Bukit Mertajam, Penang.
