PPTD commends govt's SSPA announcement

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Administrative and Diplomatic Service Association (PPTD) has lauded Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for his commitment to easing the financial burden on federal civil servants and retirees with the new Public Service Salary System (SSPA).

PPTD said the SSPA has broad support among civil servants and retirees due to its aim of mitigating living costs and enhancing the well-being of public sector employees.

"We are encouraged to plan and spend wisely while making prudent investments for their future security," the association said in a statement.

PPTD reiterated its support for the Government Transformation Programme (GTP), which seeks to improve the quality and efficiency of public service delivery.

Anwar previously announced that the new civil service salary rules will take effect on Dec 1.
