Keep calm and carry on: Fighter jets just rehearsing for Merdeka

KUALA LUMPUR: The Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) will conduct low-altitude tactical flights in Selangor and Putrajaya air space ahead of the National Day celebrations.

The RMAF, in a statement, said it has been tasked with leading the aerial segment and air displays, involving aircraft primarily from the armed forces and other security forces.

It said the tactical flight training will begin from today and will include various categories such as fighter jets, transport aircraft and helicopters.

"As such, the RMAF wishes to inform the public not to be alarmed if they see military aircraft, especially those from the Malaysian armed forces, and other security forces, flying low during the training period."
