KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof has arrived in the Masjid India area to be briefed on the situation there.
He is accompanied by Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territories) Dr Zaliha Mustafa and Kuala Lumpur Mayor Datuk Seri Maimunah Mohd Sharif.
It is understood that a press conference will be held later in the evening.
Last week, a sinkhole opened up in the area, swallowing up a woman from India who has yet to be found.
Earlier today, another sinkhole emerged some 50m away from the first site.
The second sinkhole is located in front of the Masjid India police post.
