A decimal mistake: Woman pays RM2600 for a nasi lemak [WATCH]

KUALA LUMPUR: A decimal point error led one nasi lemak lover to pay RM2,660 for a meal instead of the intended RM26.60.

The incident occurred at a nasi lemak stall in Petaling Jaya, where the customer accidentally paid 100 times the actual bill through a QR payment.

On Sunday, the shop appealed for help on social media. They posted a CCTV screenshot of the customer at the counter and wrote: "Is this you? You've mistakenly paid us RM2,660 for a RM26.60 bill. Help us find you so we can return the excess. We're not Omakase."

Later, the shop updated the post at 3pm, confirming that the money had been returned to the rightful owner.

The incident amused netizens, who humorously claimed they were the overpaying customer, with one even posting his bank account number in the comments.
