CIMB unveils 'Kita Bagi Jadi' campaign

CIMB Bank Bhd has launched its Kita Bagi Jadi movement to inspire Malaysians to embrace resilience, perseverance and positivity in their daily lives.

The movement is also in line with CIMB Malaysia's 100th anniversary as the bank continues to underscore its commitment towards making a positive impact on the lives of Malaysians.

The Kita Bagi Jadi movement shines the spotlight on two national sports icons — track cyclist Datuk Azizulhasni Awang and squash champion S. Sivasangari — who embody the core values of grit and determination.

The campaign's message is clear: success isn't just about reaching the top; it's about the journey, the challenges and the strength to overcome them.

At the heart of this commitment is the partnership with the Malaysian Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (MPYO).

Through this collaboration, CIMB aims to foster young musical talent, offering them opportunities to grow and shine on prominent stages.

CIMB Malaysia and CIMB Bank chief executive officer Gurdip Singh Sidhu said the bank remains dedicated to meaningful engagement.

"In the area of financial inclusion and access to funding, we have disbursed over RM27 billion to Malaysians in the Bottom 40 (B40) group as well as RM23 billion to micro and small businesses over the last five years," he said.

" As part of our CSR commitment of contributing RM150 million over five years, the group has championed various initiatives in sports, education, arts, empowerment and the environment.

"We have also committed more than RM70 million in scholarships to over 120 high-performing students."

Present in the launching ceremony were Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil, Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra chairman Datin Anita Azrina, MyCreative Ventures group chief executive officer (CEO) Zainariah Johari and Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra CEO Hassina Begam Abdul Gani.

Zainariah expressed similar sentiments in highlighting the emotional depth that music brings to Malaysians.

"We are deeply committed to championing Malaysian talent in creative and fine arts.

"At the core of this sponsorship of the young and brightest in MPYO is the human connection that music brings to all Malaysians," she said.
