JOHOR BARU: A 19-year-old motorcyclist was killed after he lost control of his bike and crashed into a stationary car at a junction on Jalan Kempas Lama–Selong here early today.
Johor Baru (North) police chief Assistant Commissioner Balveer Singh said the motorcyclist, travelling from Kempas, had veered into the opposite lane and crashed into the car, which was waiting to turn into Jalan Putra Utama at 6.15am.
The driver, a 54-year-old man, was unharmed but the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The case is investigated for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.
He urged witnesses to come forward and contact investigating officer Inspector Ong Jin Siong at 011-16490168 to assist in investigations.
