KULAI: A 25-year-old motorcyclist was killed when he crashed into a car at Jalan Kulai- Kota Tinggi here yesterday.
District police chief Superintendent Tan Seng Lee said the victim was heading to Kulai from Kota Tinggi when his motorcycle crashed into the car, which making a right turn from the opposite direction, in the 6.15pm accident.
The impact of the accident caused the motorcyclist to be thrown onto the road.
The victim succumbed to severe head injuries and died on the spot during the accident.
"His body was taken to Hospital Temenggong Seri Maharaja Tun Ibrahim for post-mortem," Tan said.
He added the 75-year-old driver and his 64-year-old female passenger sustained minor injuries. They received medical treatment at the same hospital.
The case is being investigated under the Road Transport Act 1987 for dangerous and reckless driving causing death.
