RON97, diesel down by 6 sen

KUALA LUMPUR: The retail prices of RON97 petrol and diesel in Peninsular Malaysia will drop by 6 sen effective tomorrow until Sept 25, in response to fluctuations in global crude oil prices and the strengthening of the ringgit.

Based on the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM), the price of RON97 will be reduced to RM3.19 per litre, while diesel will be priced at RM2.95 per litre in Peninsular Malaysia.

The Finance Ministry, in a statement, also said that diesel prices in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan will remain unchanged at RM2.15 per litre.

The price of RON95 will remain unchanged at RM2.05 per litre.

"The government will continue to monitor market developments and adjust the petroleum products' retail prices based on global oil market fluctuations, whilst supporting price stability to ensure continued welfare and well-being of the people," the statement said.
