TANAH MERAH: A 56-year-old man was killed in a landslide in Kampung Cabang Bijih here while prospecting for gold yesterday.
The victim, Rosli Dahalan of Kampung Air Resom, Gual Ipoh, was pronounced dead on the site.
Kemahang Fire and Rescue Department chief, Disagar Mani Mustafa said they received a distress call at 4.11pm and arrived at the site at 4.43pm.
The operation to rescue the man who was buried by the landslide ended around 6pm.
"The victim's body has been handed over to the police."
