Towering student steals limelight at Kedah flood relief centre

KUBANG PASU: Mohamad Adam Danial Fadhli is no celebrity, but at a height of 1.97-metre the student has stolen the limelight among flood evacuees at SMK Tunku Indera Putra in Sungai Korok here.

Even Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor was astonished by the Form Five student's towering height when he visited the flood evacuees centre (PPS) at the school today.

He spent several minutes "interviewing" Danial and was awestruck when told about the boy's shoe size.

"Size 15?" Sanusi replied in amusement, as they broke into laughter.

The youngest child of four said his two older brothers were also tall lads, with one of them standing at 1.8m tall.

Asked about his preparation for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination, Danial said it was going on smoothly.

"I am fortunate that our house is not affected by the floods. I am also relieved that the school session for Form Five students resumed as normal yesterday, although our school is serving as a temporary flood relief centre," he said, adding that he was used to getting attention due to his height.
