KUALA LUMPUR: Police are investigating an accident involving two Perodua Myvi cars that reportedly collided at KM15.5 of the Federal Highway heading towards Klang.
Shah Alam police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said the crash between the two vehicles occurred at 4.55am today.
"Initial investigations revealed that the incident happened when a black Perodua Myvi, attempting to overtake in the far-left lane, lost control and collided with the left side of a blue Perodua Myvi in the middle lane.
"This caused the blue car to lose control and crash into the road divider on the right side.
"The blue Perodua Myvi sustained damage to its front and side," he said in a statement today.
He said the owner of the black Perodua Myvi has not yet reported the incident to the police.
"Efforts are underway to locate the driver and vehicle.
"The case is being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
"Witnesses or members of the public with information are urged to assist in the investigation by contacting the investigating officer Sgt Wan Badaru Wan Abdullah at 016-373 3066."
