'Please fix it', say vehicle owners struggling to register with MyJPJ app

PUTRAJAYA: Vehicle owners have taken to social media to vent their frustration after facing difficulties registering their details with the MyJPJ application.

Their frustration has intensified, as under the new requirement, Malaysians without a MyDigital ID can no longer log into the application starting Oct 10.

A notice in the latest update of the MyJPJ application has also advised users to register with MyDigital ID before the deadline to avoid any "sign-in difficulties."

In response, users have expressed their frustration, citing that obtaining a MyDigital ID takes a long time, even to register an account.

User Aivinash J. on the social media platform X urged for the MyDigital ID application to be fixed after several failed attempts to register.

"It is not working at all. I have tried to register several times, but when it comes to face verification, the app just stops working.

"Even after shutting it down and reopening the app, the problem persists. Come on, the app is terrible. Please fix it!" he said.

Another user, Wan Afiq Haikal, echoed the same sentiment, saying that several attempts to register had failed.

"Tried to register five times already but it keeps lagging," he said.

First announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in November last year, MyDigital ID is recognised nationwide as a trusted digital identification system aimed at providing secure authentication for online transactions.

MyDigital ID Sdn Bhd is managed by Mimos Bhd, a subsidiary of the Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry.

The New Straits Times has also reached out to MyDigital ID and the Road Transport Department for comments on the matter.
