Woman cheats death as car plunges into ravine

TUARAN: A woman narrowly escaped death after her four-wheel drive vehicle plunged into a 60m-deep ravine near Kampung Minangkob, Tamparuli, this afternoon.

The incident occurred around 2pm, leaving the 22-year-old driver injured.

Tuaran District Fire and Rescue Station chief Mohammad Nor Amit said they received a call at 2.09pm regarding the situation, and eight personnel were then dispatched to the scene.

"The injured victim was given initial treatment before being transported to Tuaran Hospital by ambulance for further medical care," he said when contacted today.
