KUALA LUMPUR: Four people including a woman, aged between 20 and 57, linked to Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings (GISB) will be charged at the Sessions Court in Kota Tinggi, Johor tomorrow.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain said one of them, a 20-year-old man, is expected to be charged with two counts of committing physical sexual assault against a 16-year-old teenager.
Razarudin added that the man was arrested by the Johor Criminal Investigation Department following a report lodged by the victim accusing him of committing indecent acts twice in June.
"The man is expected to be charged at the Sessions Court in Kota Tinggi at 8.30am tomorrow," he said.
Razarudin added that three other people including the woman are expected to be charged under Section 12 of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons and Anti-Smuggling of Migrants Act 2007 for trafficking in persons at the same court and the same day.
He said the three would be charged with two other women, aged 36 and 50, who are still at large.
The three people, he said, were workers at a resort owned by GISB.
He also said that one of the three people, a 28-year-old man, will also be investigated for a case in Rawang, Selangor under Section 130V of the Penal Code for being a member of an organised criminal group.
"Investigations showed that they (the suspects to be charged tomorrow) had trafficked four individuals, aged between 30 and 57, for forced labour by threatening them," he said.
Razarudin added that the suspects were also found to have exploited individuals through forced marriages, which were allegedly arranged by the top management of the entity.
He said those forced into these marriages were not allowed to use mobile phones, and the couples were permitted to meet only once or twice a month.
"In addition, children aged five and above will be separated from their parents and placed in charity homes," Razarudin said.
