KUALA LUMPUR: The Communications Ministry has committed to ensuring that all initiatives announced in the 2025 Budget are effectively communicated to every segment of society.
Minister Fahmi Fadzil said that the ministry, through the Information Department and Madani community units, would work to disseminate over 50 initiatives introduced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim during the tabling of the budget in Dewan Rakyat today.
"Our goal is to ensure that everyone understands and can access this important information, regardless of their background. This outreach effort will extend beyond social media and reach beyond just grassroots communities," he told a press conference after the tabling of the budget today.
Meanwhile, Women, Family, and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri expressed gratitude for the budget allocation aimed at assisting parents and children with autism.
"We are very thankful. Last week during the cabinet meeting, I voiced my concerns, and thankfully, we received the allocation for this," she remarked.
The budget allocates a total of RM23 million for autism support, including RM15 million for learning fee assistance for 30,000 autistic children to ease the financial burden on eligible parents, RM5 million for the development of autism centres, and RM3 million to increase pocket money for children under the Social Welfare Department.
