New 'KPTM Pocket' app empowers students to report bullying

BUKIT MERTAJAM: In response to rising bullying incidents among students, including those in higher education, Kolej Poly-Tech Mara (KPTM) has launched a new mobile application, KPTM Pocket.

Since its launch on June 1, the app has not only streamlined online registration for SPM graduates but also includes a dedicated feature for reporting bullying.

KPTM's chief executive officer Radzuan Razali said that students who were victims of or witnesses to bullying could use this feature to submit complaints 24/7.

"The KPTM Pocket app allows students to enter their information and file complaints directly to the administration, ensuring prompt action," he said during the app's launch.

Radzuan said that even prior to the app, KPTM was actively monitoring bullying incidents.

"We previously had an e-aduan system on the KPTM website, but this new app offers easier and quicker access for students to report issues," he added.
