PETALING JAYA: A van carrying the remains of former finance minister Tun Daim Zainuddin has left the Assunta Hospital at 11.10am and is headed to his residence in Bukit Tunku.
It is understood that Daim, 86, passed away while receiving treatment at the hospital at 8.21am.
Earlier, Daim's lawyer, Datuk Gurdial Singh Nijar confirmed his client's passing.
The businessman turned politician served as finance minister between 1984 to 1991 and later between 1998 to 2001.
