KUALA LUMPUR: MPH Bookstores has officially opened its 10th outlet, a 5,000sqft store at Alamanda Shopping Centre in Putrajaya.
MPH Bookstores chief executive officer Martin Cross expressed his enthusiasm for the new store, saying MPH's re-opening at Alamanda represents a significant step in the brand's renewal, following the successful launch of its flagship store at The Exchange TRX earlier this year.
"We were here before – in this very location, until the Covid-19 pandemic.
"We're thrilled to be back, better and bolder, bringing the best books, educational toys and games, gifts and stationery to our fans here in Putrajaya and beyond," he said in his welcome address at the outlet opening today.
MPH is moving closer to achieving its goal of becoming Malaysia's leading bookstore chain once again, he said.
The store with contemporary design, featuring natural blond wood and bronze detailing, marks the new direction of MPH as an inspirational and modern destination.
Present at the launch were Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek, Putrajaya Education director Ezaiddin Hussain and Cross.
Attendees at the grand opening also included book enthusiasts, MPH MRewards members, local publishers and suppliers; as well as pupils and teachers from Putrajaya's 16 primary schools.
