Two elderly siblings found dead in Kulai home, police rule out foul play

KULAI: Two elderly siblings were found dead at their family home in Jalan Selendang, Taman Mewah, here today.

It is learned that the bodies of the siblings were discovered after a neighbour detected a foul smell from their house and reported it to the police.

District police chief Superintendent Tan Seng Lee confirmed receiving the report about the siblings, aged 65 and 67.

"Yes, we have received a report regarding this matter, and the case is still under investigation.

"Initial investigations show no criminal elements involved, and the case is classified as a sudden death for now," he said when contacted.

Meanwhile, a neighbour, who only wanted to be known as Goh, said the pair of siblings, a younger brother and an elder sister, lived in the home together.

"Both of them did not marry, and it is believed that they also did not have heirs.

"They do not interact much with the neighbours, but have never caused any problems.

"Usually, the man would leave the house to buy food for his sister, who is understood to be unwell," he said when met today.
