GUA MUSANG: Motorists have been advised to be extra careful following the appearance of a sinkhole along Jalan Lojing-Gua Musang here today.

District police chief Superintendent Sik Choon Foo said the 6-metre deep sinkhole appeared at Kampung Jek Jok at 9.30am.

He said there have been no reports of incidents so far.

"I was informed that the road is still open to all motorists. The Public Works Department (PWD) is closely monitoring the site," he said.

He said PWD is expected to repair the sinkhole soon.

The department, he added, was investigating the cause of the sinkhole.
