IPOH: Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad said that 47 projects, or 17.2 per cent, had been completed under the Perak Sejahtera 2030 plan in its second year of implementation.
He said that another 174 projects (63.8 per cent) were underway, and 52 projects (19 per cent) were still in the planning stage.
"The Second Progress Report of Perak Sejahtera was launched on June 10 this year, detailing a total of 273 projects and programmes under the plan. These projects are now integrated into the Perak Sejahtera 2030 Dashboard for ongoing monitoring by the Steering Committee," he said in response to a question from Datuk Shahrul Zaman Yahya (BN-Rungkup) at the 15th Perak State Assembly Sitting at Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan here, today.
Saarani also said that the state government, through the State Economic Planning Unit, would conduct a Mid-Term Review of the Perak Sejahtera 2030 plan.
This review will assess the plan's framework, implementation, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each agenda, including district specialisations and flagship initiatives.
"The goal is to strengthen sustainability, foster a prosperous society, and position Perak as a progressive and competitive state," he said.
Regarding the Perak Sejahtera 2030 plan for Bagan Datuk, Saarani said that the district fell under the Agrotourism and Maritime specialisation for Southern Perak.
A total of 11 programmes are planned to support the initiative, including Tourism and Heritage Conservation in Beting Beras Basah, Bagan Datuk International Gateway, Mardi Agro-Technology Park (Cocotourism), and the Permanent Food Production Park – Aquaculture Industrial Zone.
Other projects include the Bagan Datuk International Fishery Industrial Park, Medan Ikan Bakar Bagan Datuk, a feasibility study on external infrastructure for the Perak Heavy Industrial Park, Matag Coconut Plantation Program, Simpang 4 Rungkup Small Town, and a Food SME Industrial Site at Dataran Waterfront Bagan Datuk.
The Perak Sejahtera 2030 plan aims to improve the state's socio-economic development and well-being, guiding the government towards a more prosperous and balanced future by 2030 based on the principles of being dynamic, realistic, and achievable.
