KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim took time from his busy schedule to enjoy a meal with his grandchildren last night (Dec 18).
In a Facebook post this morning, Anwar shared several photos of himself spending time with his children and grandchildren at a restaurant in the capital city, following an event at Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP).
"After the event at DBP, I entertained my hungry grandchildren before heading home," he wrote.
He also recalled the lyrics of the song Nyanyian Serambi by 'paparock' Datuk Ramli Sarip, which translates to: "Out in the morning, back in the evening, sometimes late at night. Earning a living to bring home for the loved ones."
Anwar had attended the Malam Manifestasi Tiga Seni programme with his family, which featured legendary performers such as Ramli and Asmidar, as well as national laureate Datuk Anwar Ridhwan.
During the event, he was honoured with a special poem titled Air Yang Ku Minum, delivered by Anwar Ridhwan, who is also the chairman of the DBP board of directors. He was also presented with a live painting by Suzlee Ibrahim, Dean of the Fine Arts Faculty at the National Academy of Arts, Culture, and Heritage (Aswara).
