SETIU: The Terengganu Fire and Rescue Department deployed a helicopter to deliver food supplies to several flooded villages in the Langkap area.
Its director, Nor Mahathir Muhamad, said they delivered 350kg of essential goods including rice, wheat, and water in an Agusta AW139.
"We had to use a helicopter because the main road to the affected villages has been under three metres of water since last night.
"The flight was led by Captain Rozaidi Ramli with seven other crew members, including Social Welfare Department officers.
"The food supply delivery operation began at 10am and was completed by 11.15am," he said in a statement.
The aircraft then left for Gua Musang to deliver 20kg of supplies to the Orang Asli settlement there.
