SABAK BERNAM: The mystery surrounding the disappearance of a disabled woman was solved when her body was found in an overgrown area at Km35-36 of Jalan Klang-Teluk Intan today.
The remains of Ruzina Mohd Razali, 48, were discovered by police at 9.15am.
Two bags containing clothes and a pair of rubber slippers were found beside her.
Sabak Bernam deputy police chief Deputy Superintendent Khalid Mohamad said two gold bracelets and a wallet were also found near the remains.
"Checks on the body revealed no signs of injuries that could be linked to a road accident or crime."
Khalid said a brief interview with the victim's husband, 81, revealed that his wife was a mental health patient who received treatment at Tengku Ampuan Jemaah Hospital here.
"The woman had expressed a desire to return to her hometown in Perak, but she had no relatives there," he said.
He added that the husband realised that his wife was missing at 5am, and the son filed a report at the police station about three hours later.
"A post-mortem conducted on the woman found the cause of death to be a heart attack.
"The case has been classified as a sudden death."
