Cabinet retreat to highlight areas for improvement in Madani govt, says PM [WATCH]

PUTRAJAYA: The upcoming Madani government cabinet retreat will focus on identifying areas for improvement and addressing existing weaknesses in public administration.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the retreat is not merely an opportunity to document achievements.

It should serve as a platform to identify areas for improvement and enhance the level of commitment at all levels of the administration.

"(The retreat is) an opportunity to highlight areas that need improvement and to address existing weaknesses.

"There is a level of commitment that must be enhanced.

"I believe this should also involve the secretaries-general and director-general of the ministries.

"It must reach all levels of the administration," said Anwar in his speech at the Prime Minister's Department monthly assembly.

Also present were Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar.
