SEREMBAN: A couple tragically died after their vehicle was involved in a three-car collision on the Seremban-Kuala Pilah Road near Bukit Putus yesterday.
Seremban District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Hatta Che Din confirmed that the 50-year-old female victim died at the scene, while her 52-year-old husband succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
The accident occurred at around 6.45 pm, police reported.
Preliminary investigations revealed that a 22-year-old man from Seremban, driving a Proton Exora, lost control of his vehicle, crossed into the opposite lane, and collided with both a Perodua Kancil and a Perodua Axia.
As a result of the crash, the front passenger of the Perodua Axia sustained severe head injuries and was confirmed dead at the scene. The driver of the Perodua Axia also suffered serious head injuries and died while being treated at Tuanku Jaafar Hospital (HTJ).
The driver of the Proton Exora, who was alone in the car, sustained serious injuries, believed to include fractures to both legs.
The driver and occupant of the Perodua Kancil sustained only minor injuries.
