JOHOR BARU: The Regent of Johor, Tunku Mahkota Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, met with Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani yesterday to discuss potential cooperation.
According to a Facebook post, Tunku Ismail was invited to meet Sheikh Mohammed, who is also Foreign Minister
"Topics discussed during the meeting included collaborations to improve economic and social developments in Johor," read the post.
Also present were Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi and Johor Economic, Tourism, and Cultural Office Singapore chairman Datuk Seri Hasni Mohammad.
Last week, Tunku Ismail met with Paris Saint-Germain FC (PSG) president Nasser Al-Khelaifi to observe the French football club's training session at Stadium 974 in Doha, Qatar.
Tunku Ismail, the owner of Johor Darul Ta'zim F.C. (JDT), later announced that JDT and PSG would enter into a partnership to develop grassroots football, infrastructure, branding, and the sharing of expertise and technology.
