KUALA LUMPUR: Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territories) Dr Zaliha Mustafa has denied claims by certain parties that she was concealing the so-called Royal Addendum.
Zaliha, who in her ministerial role, is a member of the Federal Territories Pardons Board, acknowledged the existence of such allegations.
"I would like to clarify that, like other ministers, I have not seen the document referred to as the addendum, and I am not concealing anything.
"I believe this answers the question, and I do not wish to comment further on the matter," she said.
Zaliha was speaking to reporters at an engagement session with associations, community representatives, and organisations related to senior citizens today.
Also present was Kuala Lumpur Mayor Datuk Seri Maimunah Mohd Sharif.
Previously, it was reported that Zaliha had said the minutes of the Pardons Board meeting related to former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's application would not be disclosed to the public as they are confidential.
This was after PKR International Bureau chairman Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Md Akin had suggested that the government disclose the details of the Pardons Board meeting minutes.
The addendum refers to an order purportedly signed by the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong allowing former prime minister Najib to serve the remainder of his prison sentence under house arrest.
