#NSTviral Sawadika! Woman gets help at petrol station to refuel Thai-registered vehicle with Ron95

KUALA LUMPUR: Netizens were frustrated when they saw a viral video showing a woman filling up her Thai registered car with subsidised fuel in Rawang, Selangor.

What captured widespread attention is not only the audacious act itself, but the fact that a petrol station staff - who was also seen in the video - also allowed the use of subsidised fuel.

A man was seen standing in front of the woman and holding the fuel nozzle.

Another man with a vest, who looked like a worker, was seen pressing on the boot of the car, an act done by many people when trying to make filling up their tanks easier.

"Not only did she steal subsidised fuel meant for Malaysian citizens, but what's baffling is why the station employees willingly helped her fill up the tank," claimed the video owner, using the Twitter handle @MALAYSIAVIRALLL.

Netizens have expressed outrage and frustration over the woman's behaviour.

"I feel like smacking the head of that Petronas staff from behind," user @karlbarats said.

User @cptnprice91 said: "If I'm not mistaken, the owner of the fuel station can be fined when a situation like this occurs, right?"

"Whether foreign (staff) or not, employers need to explain the regulations on who is allowed to fill up RON95."

When contacted, a spokesperson from the Selangor Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry said the ministry was aware of the incident.

"We have not yet received any information or complaints regarding the matter and will conduct a thorough investigation," the spokesman said briefly.
