KUALA LUMPUR: A video of a black Myvi driving backwards on a secluded, windy road has caught the attention of netizens.
The video, posted on X by user @update11111, shows the Myvi driver navigating in reverse, while other vehicles — facing the right way — followed.
The clip was captured from another vehicle's dashboard on the same road, with the tongue-in-cheek caption: "The gearbox is faulty. Only reverse gear is functional."
As of time of writing, the video has gone viral, garnering over 478,300 views and 6,900 likes, and sparking numerous responses from netizens in the comments section.
User @Zael44 said not to praise the driver for this attempt.
"Don't attempt to praise this driver for drifting downhill."
"Are you feeling dizzy, bro? Just stop and wait for the towing (truck)," said @nais_gai.
Another user, @meakusayakami, expressed his curiosity about any attempt to reverse up a hill.
The New Straits Times has reached out to Gombak traffic police about the incident.
