KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia will be celebrating its 68th Merdeka celebrations next month on Aug 31.
Ahead of the national celebration, a man was caught on camera yesterday displaying his heavily decorated car by the side of a highway.
The car's exterior was filled with mini sized Malaysian flags, so much that the car's real colour could not be seen.
There were also a few Selangor flags in the midst of the many Jalur Gemilang that were displayed.
A dashcam video of the decorated car, its driver and a motorcycle positioned next to the car was posted on Facebook by the 'Aeril Zafrel & Wawa Zainal' page.
In the short clip, a man believed to be the owner of the car was also seen lying and swinging happily on a hammock, which he had tied one end to the car's rear and another to a camping chair, by the side of the busy highway.
The presence of a motorcycle and a bicycle next to the parked car, remains a mystery, as only the man was seen singing while relaxing by the side of the road.
The video which is making its rounds on social media has been liked by thousands and shared multiple times.
The person recording the video is also heard saying: " Lain macam abg healing, tapi highway..." as he drove past the uncommon sight.
Many netizens praised the man's patriotic spirit, especially for the way he decorated his car with hundreds of flags
Among the comments the post received were from Wan AzHari who said the owner looked like a traffic policeman in camouflage ( "Undercover tu...traffic cop tgh buat operasi had laju...pandai dia camou speed trap gun dia..".)
Another user, Mohamad Sirul Sirul wrote:" He's taking a breather at the highway.( Dia ambil ketenangan udara segar di lebuh raya)".
