#NSTviral: Woman's kindness in buying burger for stranger wins praise [WATCH]

KUALA LUMPUR: A video about a kind-hearted woman buying a burger for a man who was selling pens at McDonald's went viral.

In the 12-second TikTok video posted by @apkr_7, the man, believed to be a foreigner, is seen collecting his burger and eating it.

The poster says it is challenging to distinguish between those who genuinely need help and those who may be pretending to seek assistance with malicious intention.

"While waiting alone at McDonald's, I was approached by a foreign man selling pens, who showed me a wound on his left arm with pus; despite feeling uneasy, I chose to buy him a burger instead of giving cash.

"I noticed him waiting for his burger while still trying to sell his pens to others. Once he got his burger, he ingested it quickly and I was pleased to be able to help, but it's a reminder for everyone, especially women, to stay alert and mindful of their surroundings at all times," she said.

The video had more than 545,700 views and 21,500 likes, sparking mixed reactions from netizens.
