KUALA LUMPUR: A Sabahan tour guide has left netizens impressed with his uncanny ability to speak the Italian language.

In a video posted on X by @anthraxxx781, he was seen speaking fluent Italian with European tourists at a jewellery shop, who did not know how to speak the English language.

It earned praises from netizens and other local tour guides. Many also shared their experience with Sabah tour guides, highlighting their ability to speak multiple languages.

At press time,the video had been viewed more than 285,000 times and gained 4,200 likes, with netizens expressing positive responses.



"When he speaks expressive languages like Italian, his body language and facial expressions match as well. This brother is incredible," said user @0nly_FAB.

User @nurblqsss said it seemed that Sabahan tour guides were skilled in multiple languages, including Korean, Mandarin and Italian. "And they do it excellently," she said.

User @SaifulA77188378 said "Yes, I have also heard them speaking German and I respect their level of communication skills and hospitality."

@Naim Peiya said Sabahans had amazing multilingual abilities.

"As a tour guide myself, I am truly amazed by the Sabahan guides, particularly those working in the Kota Kinabalu and Semporna areas, as their skills in foreign languages are superb," he said.
