KUALA LUMPUR: A TikTok video involving a user known as 'Puan Mira' denying her relation to the woman involved in the recent incident at Maktab Rendah Sains Mara (MRSM) Taiping, Perak, has received the social media users attention.
@puanmira8 or 'Puan Mira' denied any link with the MRSM Taiping canteen (Dewan Makan contractor) and explained in a humorous way that she is only a bag seller.
"Guys, what's all the fuss on my TikTok? I was so shocked! People are looking for 'Puan Mira kantin.' I'm not her. I only sell bags," she said.
Previously, through a TikTok post, Majlis Amanah Rakyat chairman, Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki, paid an unannounced visit to MRSM Taiping following reports of students experiencing food poisoning.
During his surprise visit to the school, Asyraf contacted the dining hall contractor, known as 'Puan Mira' for clarification, but she refused to cooperate and gave unreasonable excuses.
The lady impolitely told Asyraf to check the current market price of mackerel after being probed by the latter as to why mackerel, as listed on the menu, was replaced with fried fish.
It is understood that the contractor was in Sarawak at the time but had secured the tender to manage MRSM Taiping's dining hall.
