KUALA LUMPUR: A Malaysian man has defied mall security by fishing at a shopping centre in Seri Kembangan.
The man was spotted in front of an eatery, using a fishing rod and reel to catch fish while security personnel attempted to escort him away, but to no avail.
A video of his antics, shared by TikTok user @hanzazkhan, went viral, racking up over 300,000 views.
In another clip, the same man initially walked away empty-handed, only to try his luck again in front of a different store.
Netizens expressed their amusement at his actions, with some calling him fearless.
User @mar described him as a true "fighter", saying "He is a true fighter. Never mind that he is 'kumpau'," referring to fishermen who return without any catch.
User mrgagakhitam suggested that fishing could be a great way for husbands to pass the time while their wives shop.
"If we're allowed to fish, I believe any husband wouldn't mind waiting for their wife to shop for three to four hours," he said.
